Derek is a software engineer focused on solving real-world problems through technology. With a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Computer Systems Diploma specializing in Cloud Computing, he brings a unique blend of strategic thinking and technical expertise to his work. His experience includes analyzing customer data, building marketing campaigns, and developing cloud-based services. Derek has worked on production services, improved CI/CD pipelines, and built internal tooling. Currently, he is building real-time marketing systems, applying his engineering skills to marketing and data challenges.

Chris is the founder and photographer behind Sturmsucht, an elopement photographer based in Hamburg. Describing himself as a nerd at heart and a happy & social introvert, Chris has a love for the north, authentic people, and his cat Mikkel. He documents weddings, life, and love with calmness and empathy, always mindful of the well-being of those he photographs. He values authenticity, honesty, and mutual respect, and aims to help others see themselves in their true beauty. He was a web developer and in product management before becoming a photographer.

Gijs Verheijke is a Dutch entrepreneur currently living in Singapore. He leads Trust, Safety, and Customer Experience at Carousell, following Carousell's acquisition of his startup, Ox Street. Gijs has a background in finance and has also lived and worked in Bangladesh, Myanmar and Bali. He is passionate about learning new things, including coding with AI, and building new startup ideas. He writes on Substack and his personal website, and recently built Magicdoor.ai, a unified AI interface.

Michael Albada is a computer scientist and writer based in Sonoma County, California. He currently works at Microsoft, applying AI to cybersecurity. Previously, he worked on large-scale machine learning and deep learning models for geospatial intelligence at Uber, and in natural language processing at ServiceNow. His book, Building Applications with AI Agents, is scheduled for be released in 2025. He enjoys learning about new technical challenges and is open to collaboration opportunities.

Fayaz Rafin is a software engineer based in Toronto, Canada, originally from Dhaka, Bangladesh. He is currently a Computer Engineering student at York University. Fayaz has experience as a Software Engineer at TD Securities, Dorayaki Studios, and as a Prompt Engineer at Outlier AI. He also worked as a Software Engineer Intern at Radar. His background combines hardware and software expertise, allowing him to approach problems with both hardware and software solutions in mind. He enjoys exploring Toronto, outdoor adventures, gaming, and connecting with others.

Ran Ding is a software engineer, former physicist, and lifelong learner. He currently works at OpenAI on its multimodal effort. Previously, he led machine learning and product efforts at Instagram, Threads, Meta GenAI, AWS AI, and startups. He received his PhD from UW and commercialized his research through a semiconductor chip design startup Elenion. He holds 9 US patents and published more than 80 papers. Outside of work, he enjoys reading, taking photos, playing cello, practicing BJJ, and tinkering with mechanical keyboards.

Brady Salz, also known as b$, makes things that beep, buzz, transmit, receive, light up, dim down, rotate, translate, encode, and decode. He enjoys working with hardware. Brady lives in San Francisco, CA and previously worked on satellites at Astranis for 8 years. He has degrees from the University of Illinois and worked with the Integrated Circuits and Systems Group under Professor Pavan Hanumolu in grad school, where he made a chip and wrote a paper.

Simon Ashley is the Managing Director at gotripod.com and a fractional CTO. He enjoys solving tricky problems and works with both the technical and business aspects of growing businesses. He builds functional systems and has experience running dev teams and helping founders scale. Simon has worked in startups, regulated environments, and IoT, learning when to build, buy, or rethink approaches. He shares his insights on leading teams, making decisions, and handling scaling challenges on his blog. He is based in the UK and values good communication.

Paule Patterson III is the creator of Every Human's Journey (EHJ) and founder of Stigma Marketing & Development. Grounded in recovery and honest psychology, EHJ blends Jungian psychology, the Hero's Journey, and Cognitive Behavioral Theory. Paule's work draws from years of lived experience, therapeutic frameworks, and group work. He has a background in ministry, psychology, recovery work, curriculum design, and organizational development. EHJ is a project of Stigma Marketing & Development, based in Missoula, MT.
